WHAT’S A NORMAL HOUSE?
A conventional house would be similar to the majority in your street with a roof pitch not greater than 24 degrees, and with no more than 3 separate non-adjoining roof sections.
Tiled roofs previously painted run the risk of coating lifting or peeling, as such, may be treated as unconventional and fall outside the usual pricing.
Approximately 95% of customers have a conventional house.
Do I need to be home whilst roof restoration works are undertaken?
No. All we need is power, water and access to the back yard to clean up after pressure cleaning.
How much do I have to pay deposit?
Nothing. We have 30 day accounts with our suppliers so a deposit is not needed.
How long does the roof restoration process take?
3-5 days depending on the size of the roof and also much of what we do is dependent on good weather.

What is “stormseal”?
“Stormseal” is the modern replacement for the old system of bedding and pointing valleys. Keeping valleys dry and leak free.
Bedding and pointing was found to be too unreliable and led to valleys rotting or rusting out due to the constantly high moisture levels.
Bedded valleys are also more likely to cause direct leaks into the house.
Valleys by their very nature have to cope with 500% more water than the rest of the roof.
“Stormseal” is a non flammable polyurethane water based bitumen impregnated foam, designed to seal all valley tiles of tile and steel roofs. It will provide a tradesman finish to the roofing tile valley and is both economical and a maintenance-free finish. The Stormseal stops birds and vermin entering through the roofline. Stormseal has unique inbuilt adhesion, which holds the valley cuts in place and will direct the heavy rainfall down the valley iron.
WHAT IS ANTIFUNGAL ROOF TREATMENT?

Our truth in pricing is unique to the industry and inline with our reasonable price strategy.
HOW LONG WILL ROOF RESTORATION LAST?
Roof restoration by Trav’s roof resto could last forever , will last 25 plus years. We continually monitor past work. Jobs done 20 years ago are still solid, and with the improvement of products we utilise, the longevity can only improve.
This doesn’t mean your roof will look new forever. We wish that were possible, even with the best coatings we use today, contaminants falling from the sky will settle on the roof eventually becoming visible/ noticeable after about 7 years, underneath though nothing will have changed.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, we are fully insured.
What is the warranty period?
Trav’s Roof Resto provides a 10 year warranty on a full roof restoration or a full re-bed and point.
WHAT IS ROOF RESTORATION?
Roof Restoration is the extensive repair, and clean of a roof.
Broken tiles are replaced, leaks stopped, valleys may be changed, flashing installed…….
Cement based tiles are sealed and coated.
In the case of terracotta tiles no coating is applied.
WHAT IS ROOFSEALING, TILESEAL, ROOF PAINTING, OR ROOF COATING?
They all have the same meaning. Sometimes used instead of the term Roof Restoration, it means the sealing of the tile surface so water can no longer penetrate the tile. Enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the roof. This is achieved by the proper application of roof coatings.
WHAT IS BEDDING, RE-BEDDING?
Bedding is the setting of roof cappings or ridge caps, into the mortar mix (sand and cement), providing the initial hold and gap filling between capping and tile, prior to pointing.
WHAT IS POINTING, RE-POINTING?
The pointing does all the work of holding the cappings for the long term, withstanding all the wind and rain and sun can throw at it.
That is why it needs to be flexible pointing.
Apart from looking terrible, Pointing in poor condition will eventually lead to leaks and cappings blowing off the roof.
The pointing also needs to look good as it is the first thing you notice looking at a roof.
WHAT IS A COLLAR?
Pointing where cappings overlap.
